Star Tours 2 en 2013 à Disneyland… Tokyo
The legendary Star Tours ride is heading to Japan, and it’s better than ever: Tokyo Disneyland Park has announced that Star Tours: The Adventures Continue — a complete renovation of the classic ride, now featuring 3D images and much more — will open in Tomorrowland on Tuesday, May 7, 2013.
Star Tours: The Adventures Continue features several new innovations that will delight both longtime and new Star Wars fans, as well as those unfamiliar with the Star Wars films. The attraction features over 50 possible story combinations — meaning new experiences and thrills for guests with every ride — made possible through a random selection of multiple scenarios that have been created for each scene. And the seamless use of 3D brings characters, locales, and effects to life like never before, while making the attraction’s sense of speed and scale truly breathtaking.
On Star Tours, guests go on an interplanetary sightseeing tour aboard a Starspeeder 1000 with C-3PO as their unexpected pilot along with his partner R2-D2. But quickly after takeoff, the Starspeeder is blocked by Imperial troopers. It appears as if a Rebel spy is among the guests aboard, and the Rebellion is hoping to use the tour to deliver their spy safely to their destination. C-3PO and R2-D2 break from the Imperial troopers’ hold on the spacecraft and a real adventure begins: the Starspeeder heads to different locations in the Star Wars universe, and guests will find themselves in the middle of a Tatooine Podrace, evading an Imperial attack on Coruscant, and encountering some familiar faces…
Opening for the Tokyo Disney Resort 30th anniversary, this new attraction will add even more « happiness » to this milestone year that starts on April 15, 2013. This is a ride you don’t want to miss!

Bon courage aux courageux Japonais (et touristes étrangers) qui vont affronter des heures de queue (cf. les 5 heures de queue pour l’attraction Toy Story à Tokyo Disney Sea dans les semaines suivant son ouverture).
